From Sketch to Stitch: How Our Tees Are Made
Share
At Ink & Thread, our tees aren't just printed—they're crafted with purpose, passion, and precision. Each one begins with a hand-drawn or digitally illustrated design and ends as a wearable piece of art. But what happens in between? Here’s a look behind the scenes.
Step 1: The Design Process
Our journey starts with concept sketches from our contributing artists. Every detail is intentional, from the angle of a raven’s wing to the shadows in a burning candle. Once the artwork is finalised, it goes through refinement to ensure it holds up at print size and keeps its bold black-and-white contrast.
Step 2: Digital Prep & Print On Demand
We convert designs into high-resolution print files, adjusting scale and format for perfect placement. Because our tees are printed on demand, we minimise waste and avoid mass production. Each order is printed individually, using eco-friendly inks that keep the details crisp without harming the environment.
Step 3: Quality, Always
After printing, every tee goes through a final quality check before it's shipped. We only print on premium, soft cotton shirts that feel great to wear and hold up through time. The result? A statement tee that looks as good as it feels.
Designed With Intention
We believe in slow fashion and meaningful design. From concept to print, our process is built around storytelling, sustainability, and standout visuals. When you wear Ink & Thread, you're not just putting on a shirt—you're showcasing art.
Whether you're new to the brand or a long-time fan, now you know the care behind each stitch. Thanks for wearing the story with us.
